happy gut smoothie

this smoothie combo has been my go to lately. it is made with ingredients that are packed with nutrients to help support healthy digestion - banana, zucchini and papaya.

banana is rich in potassium, helping to maintain a healthy blood pressure. zucchini supports healthy digestion, as well as being rich in vitamins a, c and k and rich in the nutrients manganese and folate. papaya is also a great food to incorporate into your diet to aid healthy digestion, as it contains powerful enzymes that help with the breakdown of proteins.


HAPPY GUT SMOOTHIE

what you’ll need

  • 150g frozen banana

  • 100g frozen zucchini

  • 100g frozen papaya

  • one scoop of protein powder OR 1/2 cup egg whites

  • splash of almond milk

  • cinnamon / ginger to taste

  • cashew nuts & cacao nibs to top

what to do

  • blend all ingredients until smooth. then top with cashews and cacao nibs. enjoy :)
